Billecart-Salmon was established in 1818 in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, a village renowned for its vineyards in Champagne. The house was founded by Nicolas François Billecart - a visionary winemaker who emphasized quality and craftsmanship. Billecart-Salmon is currently managed by the seventh generation of the family; Antoine Billecart and François Billecart. They have continued to uphold the founding principles of quality and elegance while also embracing innovation and modern techniques. Billecart-Salmon champagnes are known for their elegance and finesse producing a fine Rose Champagne that is consistently considered to be a favourite of all in the market.
