Domestic Couriers

The World of Wine uses a range of domestic couriers to ensure you get a smooth transition from ordering with us and receiving the wines. 

Australia Post

Delivery Nationwide, including most rural areas. Suitable for PO BOX, Post Office or Leave a card deliveries. 

Aramex Couriers

Standard Metro Deliveries (except WA). 

Anonymous Shipping

A premium courier that is specifically tailored for wine logistics. Anonymous ship the wines temperature-controlled interstate. May be subject to extra shipping costs.

DHL

The ultimate delivery service, for express urgent shipments interstate. Extra costs apply.

Domestic Insurance

All wines are insured in case the courier damage or loses your wine order. We will not be responsible for loss of delivery if you have provided the wrong address and the courier follows the instructions. 

Domestic Shipping Schedule

If the wines are in stock, we aim to have you order shipped within 3 business days, allow up to 7-10 days for delivery (subject to location). Metro NSW, VIC, and QLD the deliveries usually take 1-3 business days.

If the wines are not in stock, we will order and secure the wines from the supplier by COB and get the wines on the way to us immediately. It can take anywhere from 2-7 days to get the wine from the supplier. Shipping to you will be within 24 hours of receiving the wine from the supplier.

Tracking Your Order

You will receive an email or SMS with your order tracking number when the order has been shipped from our warehouse. 

Heat Policy for Shipping wines

We do not ship wine when the temperature exceeds 30 degrees. We don’t compromise quality and excellence of our service. We do our best to monitor weather across the country.

We will send your order once the weather cools down and appreciate your understanding and patience during heat waves.

Delivery Charges 

For orders delivered within Australia, the total cost for delivery, handling, and insurance (inclusive of GST) is as follows:

1 case means 12 x 750ml bottles. 

International Shipping

Minimum Order requirement of $1000 AUD value after tax concessions and excluding freight. 

Tax Exemptions

We provide an Australian tax deduction (GST & WET) on most purchases over $15 AUD per bottle, ranging from 10% to 25% depending on current promotions. All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD), offering significant savings.

Email sales@theworldofwine.com.au with your order and we will email you back a full quotation with the discounted prices excluding WET & GST taxes. 

Insurance

Insurance is charged at 2.5% of invoice total and covers loss and breakage only. All wine is packed in foam polystyrene boxes for added safety; this is inclusive in the freight charge.

Asia Pacific: Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Fiji

Customs and Government Import duties are not included in our pricing. Customers will be billed for the duty when delivery is made. Further information can be found at your local Customs. If in doubt, we ask customers to check with local authorities as The World of Wine will not be liable for any local duty charges.

Allow from 1 - 7 days for delivery from dispatch (delays may occur in customs). Rates are door-to-door and include current airline security and fuel surcharges where applicable as well as packing in polystyrene. 

New Zealand

USA (Excluding Hawaii, Alaska and some states*)

*In February 2018, Liquor laws changed in some states of the USA. We are unable to ship wine to Utah, Kentucky, Mississippi, Delaware, Rhode Island, Alabama, Oklahoma, Arkansas & North Dakota.

Please note we can deliver wine to all other states. Shipment leaves from our International Logistics HUB once a month for USA. 

USA Shipments are not sent via DHL. If you prefer to use DHL let us know and we can provide you a quote.

The World of Wine will provide you an ETA for delivery once the order is place and we have liaised with our International Logistics HUB. Rates are door-to-door and include current airline security and fuel surcharges where applicable as well as packing in polystyrene.
