More About The Producer

The roots of Larmandier-Bernier date back to the early 20th century when the Larmandier and Bernier families were independently involved in winemaking in Champagne. The two families merged in 1971, establishing the Larmandier-Bernier estate we know today. The turning point for the house came in 1988 when Pierre Larmandier and his wife Sophie Bernier took the reins. Under their leadership, the house shifted its focus toward a more natural approach to viticulture and winemaking, emphasizing organic and biodynamic principles long before these practices became widespread in Champagne. This vision has been central to their success and international acclaim.Larmandier-Bernier owns 15 hectares of vineyards, primarily located in some of the most prestigious villages of the Côte des Blancs, including Vertus (where the estate is based), Cramant, Chouilly, Avize, and Oger. These villages are celebrated for their chalk-rich soils, which impart exceptional minerality and finesse to the wines.
