Oddero is a historic winery situated in the heart of the Langhe region in Piedmont, Italy, with roots tracing back to the 18th century. The Oddero family has been cultivating vineyards and producing wine in La Morra since at least the 1790s, with Giovanni Battista Oddero (1794–1874) and his sons Lorenzo (1821–1903) and Luigi (1832–1893) being among the earliest documented winemakers in the area. By 1878, under the leadership of Giacomo Oddero (1851–1915), the family began bottling their wines, marking a significant step in their winemaking journey.
The estate spans 35 hectares across some of the most esteemed crus in the Langhe and Asti territories, including Brunate, Bussia, and Vignarionda in Barolo, and Gallina in Barbaresco. This diverse vineyard portfolio enables Oddero to produce a range of wines that exemplify the unique terroirs of the region. The winery's commitment to traditional winemaking methods, combined with modern techniques, results in wines that are both expressive and age-worthy.
Under the stewardship of the sixth generation, represented by Isabella and Pietro Oddero, the winery continues to honor its rich heritage while embracing innovation. Isabella focuses on global markets and consumer relations, while Pietro oversees vineyard management and winemaking operations. Their leadership ensures that Oddero remains a benchmark for quality in the Langhe, producing wines that reflect the family's dedication to excellence and the distinctive character of their vineyards.
