More About The Producer

Founded in 1981 by Bruno Paillard, Champagne Bruno Paillard is a distinguished house that has redefined Champagne production with its commitment to purity and elegance. Born in Reims in 1953, Bruno hailed from a family of growers and brokers in the Grand Cru villages of Bouzy and Verzenay. After six years as a broker, he ventured to create his own Champagne house, marking a bold move in a region known for its conservatism.

The house is renowned for its Extra Brut Champagnes, characterized by minimal dosage to preserve the wines' natural expression. Notable cuvées include the "Première Cuvée," a non-vintage blend that exemplifies the house's style, and the "Nec Plus Ultra" vintage, which undergoes extended aging to achieve exceptional complexity.

Bruno Paillard's dedication to quality is evident in the winery's innovative practices, such as the first above-ground cellar built in 1984 to control temperature, lighting, and humidity. In 1994, he acquired his first vineyard in Oger, Côte des Blancs, and has since expanded to 25 hectares, with 12 hectares classified as Grand Cru. This strategic acquisition ensures the house's independence and the ability to cultivate grapes that reflect the unique terroir of Champagne.
