More About The Producer

Elise Bougy is a passionate oenologist, grower, and winemaker dedicated to restoring the biodiversity and harmony of her native Champagne terroir. After completing her studies in Dijon, she returned to her family's estate in Les Mesneux in 2016, driven by a desire to explore new horizons and make a meaningful impact on her land. Since taking over, Elise has been committed to organic farming practices, achieving organic certification in 2023, and has been implementing biodynamic methods since 2021.

The estate's vineyards span approximately 3 hectares, with two-thirds located in Les Mesneux, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims, and one-third in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs. Among her notable wines is the "Chétillon de Haut," sourced from a Grand Cru parcel in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. This Blanc de Blancs Champagne is crafted from Chardonnay grapes, undergoing spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentations without added sulfur, and aged for 10 months in a combination of 600-liter barrels and stainless steel tanks. The result is a wine that balances generous fruit flavors with a rich, almond-inflected finish, embodying both power and finesse.

Elise's winemaking philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, allowing the unique characteristics of each parcel to shine through. Her dedication to organic and biodynamic practices reflects a deep respect for the environment and a commitment to producing wines that are authentic expressions of their terroir. Through her meticulous approach, Elise Bougy is crafting Champagnes that are both distinctive and harmonious, capturing the essence of the Champagne region.
