The wines of Domaine Henri Boillot are nothing short of Phenomenal" a quote we love from Allen Meadows, the most respected wine critic for Burgundy. The World of Wine will always strive to have a great collection of Domaine Henri Boillot in our cellars. Domaine Henri Boillot was founded in 1885 under the name Jean Boillot but it is over the last 30 years that the name of the estate has truly rocketed into the upper echelon of producers for white wines in Burgundy. The estate owns 15ha's of vines across some of Burgundy's greatest terroirs, including the famous Clos de la Mouchere 1er Cru monopole site in Puligny Montrachet. Henri Boillot does not limited themselves to only producing Domaine wines and also produces a handful of Maison (Negociant) wines including a standout Corton Charlemagne that is often compared to the wines of Coche-Drury. As recently as 2018 Boillot was able to consildate all of the vines in the Clos Richemont climat of Meursault and now produces this monopole under their Domaine label. Their deep understanding of the vineyards, which are grown organically, means that their wines are some of the purest expressions of the sites. Most vintages, you will find Domaine Henri Boillot having a number of wines ranked in the Top 10 highest scoring wines of the vintage. The precision and purity of Henri Boillot has been gaining more and more acclaim in recent years as collectors hunger for the clarity and drive they impart into their wines. Beautiful in youth and drop dead goregous with maturity - Boillot is a producer still on the rise.
