The 2021 Chablis Grenouilles Grand Cru has a strict and quite linear bouquet, taut and fresh, conveys a bit of the "meanness" that I like in Chablis. The palate is fresh and vibrant, very harmonious and mineral-driven, the finish calling out for a fresh plate of fruits de mer. Persistent and sophisticated, this is a brilliant Chablis.

Pale and fresh with some spice. Really crisp marine notes than an explosion of generous fruit while staying fresh. This is going to be really good! The 2021 Grenouilles reminds Benoît of 2008 and 2014. Brilliant length. Chapeau! Drink from 2027-2034

A 0.5ha site on the higher levels of Grenouilles, with average vine age of 60 years. The soils here are richer than those controlled by La Chablisienne, adding plenty of force to the Droin wine. Rich and rounded on the palate with notes of apricot/peach fruit, acidity and mineral notes are more restrained than in some of their other grand cru. A generous wine with masses of concentration and ageing ability. (AH
