More About The Producer

Emmanuel Brochet is a distinguished Champagne producer renowned for his commitment to organic viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking. In 1997, he began cultivating his family's vineyards in Villers-aux-Noeuds, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims. By 2002, he released his inaugural vintage, marking the establishment of his own estate. Today, Brochet manages approximately 2.5 hectares of vineyards, predominantly planted with Pinot Meunier (37%), Chardonnay (30%), and Pinot Noir (23%). The oldest vines date back to 1962, and the estate has been practicing organic farming since 2008. Among Brochet's notable cuvées is the "Le Mont Benoit" Premier Cru Extra Brut, a blend of the three classic Champagne grape varieties. This wine exemplifies his philosophy of minimal intervention, with fermentation occurring in barrel using indigenous yeasts, and aging on lees until bottling without fining or filtration. The non-vintage Champagnes typically undergo malolactic fermentation, contributing to their complexity and depth. Brochet's dedication to expressing the unique characteristics of his terroir has garnered acclaim in the Champagne industry. His wines are celebrated for their exuberance, vitality, and the harmonious balance between fruit expression and mineral finesse. By allowing the grapes and terroir to shine through, Emmanuel Brochet has established himself as a leading figure among grower Champagne producers.
