More About The Producer

Dr. Bürklin-Wolf, established in 1597, is a family-owned winery located in Wachenheim, within Germany's renowned Pfalz region. With over 400 years of winemaking tradition, it stands as one of the largest and most significant estates in the country. The winery's prominence was notably enhanced by the marriage of Luise Wolf to Dr. Albert Bürklin in 1875, uniting valuable vineyards in Wachenheim, Forst, Deidesheim, and Ruppertsberg under the estate's name.

In 1990, Bettina Bürklin-von Guradze, the eldest daughter of Dr. Albert Bürklin, assumed leadership of the estate. Under her guidance, the winery underwent significant transformations, including the adoption of biodynamic viticulture practices. In 2005, Dr. Bürklin-Wolf became the first German member of Biodyvin, the biodynamic certifier for esteemed estates such as Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Domaine Leflaive.

The estate's vineyards span approximately 85 hectares, featuring some of the most prestigious sites in the Mittelhaardt area. Among their iconic wines are the Grand Cru (G.C.) Rieslings, which are celebrated for their depth, complexity, and exceptional aging potential. Notable vineyards include Kirchenstück, renowned for producing wines of remarkable finesse and longevity.

Dr. Bürklin-Wolf's commitment to quality and innovation has solidified its reputation as a leader in German viticulture, producing wines that harmoniously blend tradition with modernity.
