More About The Producer

Gunderloch, established in 1890 by Carl Gunderloch, is a distinguished winery located in Nackenheim, within Germany's Rheinhessen region. The estate has been family-owned for six generations, with each generation contributing to its evolution and reputation. In 2016, Johannes Hasselbach, the current owner and winemaker, assumed control, bringing a fresh perspective while honoring the winery's rich heritage.

The winery is renowned for its exceptional Rieslings, particularly the "Jean Baptiste" Riesling Kabinett, named after the founder's son. This wine exemplifies the estate's commitment to quality and tradition. Another notable offering is the "Als wär’s ein Stück von mir" Riesling, a dry style that reflects the innovative approach of the younger generation. Under Johannes Hasselbach's leadership, Gunderloch continues to produce wines that balance tradition with modern techniques, ensuring the estate's legacy endures for future generations.
