More About The Producer

The first records mentioning the lands of “Bages” date back to the 16th century. Situated at the entrance of Pauillac, these lands were home to generations of winegrowers over the centuries.

In the early 17th century, Jean Déjean, a royal notary, and his brother Pey, a wine merchant from the village of Bages, began consolidating the plots surrounding the hamlet. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the estate gained a new dimension under the Irish Lynch family. John Lynch fled Galway and settled in Bordeaux in 1691, and later, Michel Lynch recognized the potential of the terroir, carefully selected the finest grape varieties, systematically drained the soils, and developed innovative tools to cultivate the vineyards.
