More About The Producer

R. Pouillon & Fils is a distinguished Champagne house situated in the heart of the Marne Valley, France. Established in 1947 by Roger Pouillon, the estate has been a family-run operation for over seven decades. Today, it is managed by his grandson, Fabrice Pouillon, who has been instrumental in advancing the winery's commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture. The estate spans approximately 7 hectares across several prestigious villages, including Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, and Avenay-Val-d'Or, with a focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier grape varieties.

The winery's portfolio features a range of exceptional Champagnes, each reflecting the unique terroir of the Marne Valley. Notable cuvées include the **Grande Vallée Extra Brut**, celebrated for its depth and minerality, and the **Solera 1er Cru Extra Brut**, which showcases the complexity achieved through extended aging. These wines are crafted using traditional methods, with all grapes hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts. The estate employs a wooden pneumatic press and ferments the wines in enameled iron tanks, followed by aging in a combination of stainless steel and older oak barrels.

Under the stewardship of Fabrice Pouillon, R. Pouillon & Fils continues to produce Champagnes that are expressive, vibrant, and intricately crafted, solidifying the family's legacy in the Champagne industry.
