More About The Producer

Fratelli Alessandria, established in the mid-19th century, is a historic winery located in Verduno, a village in the heart of Piedmont's Barolo region. The estate traces its origins to the Dabbene family, with the name Fratelli Alessandria adopted around 1870 following a marriage that united two winemaking families. Today, the winery is managed by Gian Battista, his wife Flavia, brother Alessandro, and son Vittore, representing the seventh and eighth generations of winemakers.

The estate's vineyards are situated in Verduno and Monforte d'Alba, benefiting from the unique microclimate and soil composition of the region. Fratelli Alessandria produces a range of wines, with their Barolo being particularly esteemed. The Barolo is crafted from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the estate's best vineyards, aged in large oak casks to preserve the wine's elegance and complexity. This traditional approach results in wines that are true expressions of their terroir, reflecting the winery's commitment to authenticity and quality.

Under the guidance of the Alessandria family, the winery has maintained a focus on sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking. This philosophy ensures that each wine embodies the unique characteristics of the land and the family's dedication to their craft. Fratelli Alessandria's wines are celebrated for their balance, finesse, and the ability to age gracefully, offering a window into the rich winemaking heritage of Verduno.
