Chateau Prieure Lichine, a jewel of the Margaux appellation, embodies the essence of its world-renowned terroir. With roots tracing back to Roman times, the estate has over 500 years of history shaped by key figures and events. In 1953, Alexis Lichine—renowned as the “Pope of Wine”—gave the property its current name and expanded its vineyards by 10 hectares in Arsac. Careful soil studies have since allowed the team to optimize grape varieties and fully express the character of each plot, ensuring the quality and identity of its wines.
