More About The Producer

Romano Dal Forno is a distinguished winery situated in the Illasi Valley of Valpolicella, Italy. Established in 1983 by Romano Dal Forno, the estate has evolved into a benchmark for excellence in the region. Romano, born in 1957, was raised in a family with a long history of viticulture. In 1983, he decided to produce his own wine, inspired by the renowned winemaker Giuseppe Quintarelli. Despite initial skepticism from his family and local community, Romano, with the support of his wife Loretta, embarked on crafting exceptional wines. The winery's portfolio includes iconic wines such as the **Amarone della Valpolicella "Monte Lodoletta"** and the **Valpolicella Superiore "Monte Lodoletta"**. These wines are celebrated for their depth, complexity, and the meticulous winemaking process that includes drying the grapes to concentrate flavors, a technique that has become a hallmark of Dal Forno's style. Under the stewardship of Romano Dal Forno and his sons, Luca, Michele, and Marco, the winery continues to produce wines that reflect the family's dedication to quality and innovation, solidifying their reputation as leaders in the Valpolicella wine industry.
