More About The Producer

Chateau-Grillet is a small, single-estate appellation and vineyard in the Northern Rhône Valley of France, known for producing a prestigious white wine from 100% Viognier grapes on steep, terraced, south-facing slopes. The appellation, created in 1936, is a monopole, meaning a single winery owns the entire vineyard. Its unique style, complex aromas, and ability to age make it a benchmark for Viognier wines.

The estate has passed through very few owners; today it belongs to the Pinault family (who also own Chateau Latour in Pauillac).

Despite being so small, its wines are considered among the rarest and most collectible whites of the Rhone.
