He began his journey into the wine world after tasting the great 1996 vintage in the Barossa Valley, which ignited his passion for wine. His career encompasses authoring 15 wine books and contributing to prominent publications such asWine Spectator,Decanter, andAustralian Gourmet Traveller Wine. Stelzer's accolades include being named International Wine & Spirit Communicator of the Year in 2015 and International Champagne Writer of the Year in 2011. He has also served as a consultant for Qantas Airways' First and Business Class champagne selections and is the sparkling wine reviewer for theJames Halliday Australian Wine Companion.
