Founded in 1891, Vieux Télégraphe is one of the most historic wineries in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France. It has been owned by the Brunier family for over a century and is situated on the La Crau plateau, an area known for its distinctive galet (rounded stone) soils. Today, the estate is managed by Frédéric and Daniel Brunier, who continue the family’s winemaking legacy.

The flagship wine, Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge, is primarily made from Grenache, with Mourvèdre, Syrah, and other traditional Rhône varieties. A white counterpart, Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, is produced from Clairette, Grenache Blanc, and Roussanne. Both wines reflect the estate’s focus on terroir-driven, long-aging styles.

The Bruniers also oversee other Rhône projects, but Vieux Télégraphe remains the cornerstone of their work. They employ traditional winemaking methods, including whole-cluster fermentation and aging in large oak foudres, preserving the authenticity of their wines.
