More About The Producer

Catena Zapata is an Argentinian winery founded in 1902 by Nicola Catena and is recognized for pioneering high-altitude Malbec. Now led by Laura Catena, a fourth-generation vintner and trained biologist, the winery focuses on research-driven viticulture. The vineyards, such as Adrianna (1,500m) and Nicasia (1,095m) in Mendoza, are among the highest in the world. The winery has also been awarded World’s Best Vineyard multiple times.

Adrianna Vineyard is called the "Grand Cru of South America" due to its detailed soil studies and micro-parcel vinification. Catena Zapata also played a key role in elevating Malbec’s reputation globally through its research at the Catena Institute of Wine.
