Alsace

Alsace is a picturesque wine region in northeastern France, nestled between the Vosges Mountains and the Rhine River. This prime location provides a unique microclimate, with long, sunny growing seasons and cool nights, perfect for cultivating exceptional white wines.

The history of winemaking in Alsace dates back to Roman times, but it was the Middle Ages when the region truly flourished as a wine powerhouse. Over the centuries, Alsace has seen its fair share of geopolitical changes, switching hands between France and Germany, which is reflected in its distinct wine style that marries both French elegance and German precision.

The region is famed for its aromatic whites, with Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris taking center stage. Other notable varieties include Muscat, Sylvaner, and Pinot Blanc. Pinot Noir is also gaining traction, producing light, elegant reds.
