Domaine Rene Rostaing is a highly respected estate in Cote-Rotie, northern Rhone, founded in the 1971 and built on vineyards inherited from two of the region’s legendary growers: Albert Dervieux and Marius Gentaz, Rene Rostaing’s father-in-law and uncle. When René took over, he united these exceptional parcels—many in Cote Blonde and Cote Brune—creating one of the finest collections of old vines in the appellation.
Today, the domaine is run by his son Pierre Rostaing, who continues the family’s tradition of producing refined yet powerful Syrah. The wines regularly receive top critical ratings for their depth, balance, and ageing potential.
The estate still works with around fifteen different parcels, vinifying many of them separately to preserve their individual character before blending, a key reason behind the complexity of their iconic cuvees.
