The Roulot family’s story begins in the early 19th century, when Guillaume Roulot established the domaine in the village of Meursault, at the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. Over generations, the family tended its vines with quiet devotion, but it was Guy Roulot, taking the reins in the mid-20th century, who transformed the domaine’s reputation. Guy’s meticulous vineyard work and focus on purity gave birth to the luminous, mineral-driven whites that would become Roulot’s signature.
Today, under the stewardship of Jean-Marc Roulot, the domaine stands as a benchmark for modern white Burgundy. The vineyards, which span many of Meursault’s most coveted lieux-dits such as Les Tessons, Les Luchets, and Les Charmes, are farmed organically, emphasizing respect for the land and precision in every detail.
