Dominio de Pingus is an ultra-prestigious, small-production winery founded in 1995 by Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck in Ribera del Duero, Spain. Despite its tiny size, the estate quickly achieved cult status after its first vintage stunned international critics, instantly placing Pingus among the world’s most sought-after wines.
Working exclusively with old-vine Tempranillo (Tinto Fino), Sisseck focuses on biodynamic farming and extremely low yields to create wines of depth, purity, and incredible longevity. Pingus has received multiple 100-point ratings and is produced in such limited quantities that bottles routinely become collector treasures. A curiosity: the 1995 debut vintage became legendary partly because a shipwreck destroyed most of the US-bound bottles—making the few that survived even more valuable.
