Isole e Olena is a renowned estate in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany.
In the 1950s, what is now Isole e Olena were two separate villages in the heart of Chianti Classico, just a kilometer apart, where sharecropping was still common. Around 130 people lived there, forming a self-sufficient community that farmed the land for mixed production, including wine, which was either consumed locally or sold to nearby merchants.
Under Paolo De Marchi’s leadership from 1976, the estate became one of the great names of Tuscany.
