Domaine Joseph Colin, established in 2017, is a distinguished winery situated in Saint-Aubin, Burgundy. Founded by Joseph Colin, the son of renowned winemaker Marc Colin and younger brother of Pierre-Yves Colin, the domaine emerged from a rich family heritage in viticulture. Joseph's early training at Domaine Marc Colin, alongside his brother, laid the foundation for his winemaking philosophy. In 2017, he embarked on his own venture, inheriting over six hectares of vineyards from his family holdings, encompassing approximately nineteen different appellations.
The winery's portfolio is diverse, featuring wines from Saint-Aubin, Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Puligny-Montrachet. Notable cuvées include the Saint-Aubin 'Mes Sept Terroirs,' which showcases the unique expressions of seven different terroirs within the appellation. Joseph Colin's approach emphasizes minimal intervention, with a preference for low sulfur usage and restrained new oak influence, allowing the distinct characteristics of each vineyard site to shine.
Under Joseph Colin's stewardship, the domaine has gained acclaim for its commitment to quality and authenticity. His wines are celebrated for their elegance, balance, and the ability to reflect the unique terroirs of Burgundy. The winery's dedication to sustainable viticulture and traditional winemaking practices ensures that each bottle encapsulates the essence of the Côte de Beaune.
