Soldera
Soldera is an iconic name in the world of Italian wine, particularly known for its highly revered Brunello di Montalcino wines. The winery, officially named Case Basse di Gianfranco Soldera, has a legendary reputation for producing wines of exceptional purity, structure, and longevity, thanks to the vision and dedication of its founder, Gianfranco Soldera. The Soldera estate, located in the heart of Montalcino in Tuscany, was founded in 1972 by Gianfranco Soldera, a former insurance broker from Milan. Gianfranco had a passion for wine and wanted to create something extraordinary. Soldera acquired a small estate named Case Basse, which had been abandoned for decades. Over the years, he transformed it into a meticulously maintained vineyard with a focus on producing some of the finest wines in Italy. Gianfranco Soldera passed away in 2019, but his legacy continues through his family, with his wife, Graziella, and children now managing the estate. The winery maintains the same rigorous standards that Gianfranco set, with a focus on producing pure, terroir-driven wines.
