Champagne grower-producer founded by Bertrand Gautherot. The estate was certified biodynamic in 1998, making it one of the early adopters of the practice in Champagne. The vineyards, planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc.
Gautherot ferments with native yeasts and ages the wines in used oak barrels, avoiding stainless steel. His wines have received acclaim from Vinous and Wine Advocate for their complexity and energy.
Gautherot originally sold grapes to larger houses before shifting to his own production. The name "Vouette et Sorbée" comes from two vineyard parcels, reflecting the estate's focus on single-terroir expressions.
