Clare Valley
Clare Valley
Clare Valley is one of Australia's oldest wine regions, located in South Australia, about 100 kilometers north of Adelaide. The winemaking history of Clare Valley dates back to the 1840s when European settlers planted the first vines. The region quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional wines, particularly Riesling and Shiraz.
The Clare Valley has long been a standout for Riesling, known for its purity, precision, and vibrant acidity, but it also excels in other varieties such as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grenache. The region's unique terroir, with its diverse microclimates and altitudes, helps create wines that express depth, character, and balance.
